The Chevy Sonic is a Subcompact Hatchback manufactured since 2002, originally by a South Korean General Motors (GM) subsidiary, GM Daewoo and later by other GM affiliated entities. In North America it is also known as the Chevrolet Aveo which means desire in Latin. Chevrolet markets the Aveo under the Sonic name in North America and it is assembled in America.
