Top competitors have been the Escape, CRV, Tiguan, Outback, Kicks and RAV4, all of which are compact crossovers with similar exterior sizes, cargo space, and starting prices. Rogue is generally considered to be a reliable vehicle. It has received good ratings from Consumer Reports and J.D. Power. The Rogue gets decent fuel economy for a compact SUV. The base FWD model gets an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway. The AWD model gets slightly lower fuel economy, at 25 mpg city/32 mpg highway.
