The Tesla Model X is a electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by Tesla, Inc. It is heavily based on the Tesla Model S full-sized sedan and notable for its falcon-wing doors which are hinged at the roof rather than the side. According to Tesla, its falcon wing doors have sensors that detect the presence of people and objects and and stop moving. Both the Model X and Model S are produced at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, California.
