The Acura TSX is a compact to mid-size near-luxury car manufactured by Acura. The TSX was initially introduced in April 2003 as a 2004 model to compete with the Volvo S40 and Lexus IS. TSX stands for Touring Sportscar Experimental and spanned two generations. It replaced the Acura CL coupe which was cancelled after 2003. It's competitors have mostly been smaller type luxury vehicles such as the Benz C-Class. 3 Series, Q50, A4, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Jaguar XE, Benz CLA and of course, the Lexus IS, which was one of its competitors from its conception and design. The TSX was popular, selling over 300,000 units in its 10-year production run. It was discontinued in 2014. At the time, the average MSRP of a TSX was $31,530.
