1961 Willys Jeep CJ-5. This classic Willys comes finished in it's original orange exterior and clean black interior. It is powered by the reliable V6 (1968) engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, four wheel drive - disc brakes. The Jeep has been well cared for, maintaining a sharp, vintage look. Notable features include free-wheeling hubs, a full roll bar, removable Bimini top and Toyo Open Country 33X10.5 tires mounted on Method wheels enhancing its off-road capability. The Willys Jeep is an iconic piece of American automotive and military history, especially models produced in the post-war era like this 1961 version. Originally developed for military use during World War II, the civilian CJ (Civilian Jeep) models carried forward the same rugged design and capability that made the original Jeeps famous. The F-134 Hurricane engine, introduced in the early 1950s, offered improved performance over its predecessors, and its durable design made it a staple for farmers, adventurers, and off-road enthusiasts alike. The 1961 Willys Jeep is a classic embodiment of go-anywhere, do-anything utility that helped shape the SUV and off-road vehicle market we know today.
