Model info:

The Kia K5 is a mid-size sedan that was introduced in 2020 as a replacement for the Kia Optima. It is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata and is offered with a choice of two turbocharged engines. The base engine is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that produces 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, while a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is available on higher trim levels. This engine produces 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, making the K5 one of the more powerful sedans in its class. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The K5 features a sleek and modern exterior design that is highlighted by its wide grille, sharp lines, and fastback roofline. It also has a spacious and well-equipped interior that includes a large infotainment touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a range of advanced safety features such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Overall, the Kia K5 competes with other mid-size sedans such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata. It has received positive reviews for its value, performance, and standard features, and is considered a strong contender in its class.
